Ahmed bin Saeed Launches Initial Phase of 'Dubai Sky Map'

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), has launched the first phase of the unified Dubai Sky Map, an innovative tool designed to enhance the management of the emirate's airspace.

This platform consolidates various DCAA services, including tracking air transport vehicles and cranes, into a single system.

The announcement was made during DCAA's participation in GITEX Global 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, running from October 14 to 18. The Dubai Sky Map aims to improve the safety and efficiency of air operations in the region by providing real-time data for managing air transport movements.

Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, DCAA's Director-General, emphasized the initiative's role in promoting innovation and ensuring safety in aviation. The DCAA will also showcase additional advanced systems at the event, highlighting its commitment to digital transformation in line with Dubai’s goal of becoming a global aviation hub.

The launch of the Dubai Sky Map signifies a significant step towards modernizing airspace management in Dubai, aligning with global best practices and supporting sustainable development initiatives in the emirate.
