Bayanat and Vay Collaborate to Advance Teledriving and AI-powered Mobility Solutions
Bayanat, a leader in AI-driven geospatial solutions, and Vay, a pioneer in automotive-grade teledriving technology, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance teledriving solutions across the Middle East, Africa, and select Asia-Pacific regions.
This partnership aims to integrate Bayanat's expertise in AI and geospatial data with Vay’s cutting-edge remote driving technology.
The collaboration will establish a joint research and development (R&D) initiative to expand next-generation autonomous technology, addressing growing global demand for advanced mobility solutions. Bayanat’s AI-enabled platform, GIQ, which integrates space and ground data to improve decision-making and operational efficiency, will be key in this development. Vay’s teledriving system allows remote drivers to deliver cars to customers, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional ride-hailing services.
Vay, known for operating on public roads without a safety driver in Europe, launched its first commercial teledriving service in Las Vegas in January 2024. The company’s technology optimizes the use of electric fleets, promoting safer, more sustainable urban mobility.
Hasan Al Hosani, Managing Director of Bayanat, stated,
“Our collaboration with Vay will enable us to tackle teledriving challenges and set the pace for innovation in the industry.”
Vay’s CEO, Thomas von der Ohe, added,
“This partnership will advance teledriving beyond current use cases, improving experiences for teledrivers, users, and partners alike.”
This collaboration signals a significant step towards smarter, more efficient, and sustainable transportation.
