Central Bank of UAE to Auction Treasury Bonds Worth AED 19.5 Billion
The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has announced an upcoming auction of Monetary Bills (M-Bills) scheduled for 19th August 2024.
The auction will feature four separate issues of M-Bills Treasury bonds, with a total offering of up to AED 19.5 billion.
According to CBUAE data, the first issue, maturing in 28 days, will be valued at up to AED 2,500 million. The second issue, with a 56-day maturity, will offer up to AED 2,000 million. The third issue, maturing in 140 days, will provide up to AED 3,000 million, while the fourth issue, with a maturity period of 308 days, will be up to AED 12,000 million.
The issue date for all four bonds is set for 21st August 2024. The respective maturity dates will be 18th September 2024, 16th October 2024, 8th January 2024, and 25th June 2025.
This auction marks the 26th Monetary Bills tender announced by the CBUAE in the current year, reflecting its ongoing efforts to manage liquidity and financial stability in the UAE market.
