Chinese Businesses See Dubai as the Perfect Launchpad for Global Expansion

Dubai Chambers is set to host the Dubai Business Forum – China on August 21-22, a pivotal event aimed at deepening economic ties and fostering investment between Dubai and China.

This forum will spotlight Dubai's diverse investment opportunities, attracting multinational corporations, unicorns, and fast-growing startups from China, while supporting Chinese businesses in forming strategic partnerships within Dubai.

Chinese business leaders have lauded Dubai as a key global hub, ideal for companies aiming for regional and international expansion. They attribute Dubai’s appeal to its strategic location, competitive advantages, and investor-friendly environment. Senior executives from leading Chinese firms, which have successfully expanded into the Middle East and Africa through Dubai, emphasize the city’s role as a gateway to global markets and its alignment with innovative industry practices.

Gavil Fang, CEO of Meorient, a prominent Chinese exhibition company, praised Dubai as the exhibition capital of the Middle East and a vital trade hub for Asia and Africa. He credited Dubai’s strategic location and the support from Dubai Chambers for helping Chinese businesses navigate market trends and expand their regional presence.

Alex Yang, Co-founder and COO of Tuya Smart, highlighted Dubai’s inclusive industry ecosystem and alignment with Smart Living and ESG principles, which are central to the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). He expressed confidence in Dubai’s potential to lead in the AI sector and set global industry benchmarks.

Dr. Jusong Xia, President of International Business at United Imaging Healthcare, pointed out Dubai’s efficient registration processes, supportive policies, and favorable business environment as key factors in selecting Dubai as their MENA headquarters. He emphasized the importance of Dubai’s network and resources in driving future investments in healthcare innovation.

Under the theme ‘China, Dubai and Beyond: Igniting Global Trade and Investment,’ the forum will bring together public and private sector leaders from both regions. Discussions will explore cooperation in emerging sectors such as green technology, e-commerce, AI, healthcare, and renewable energy, aligned with the ambitious goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
