Design Next Exhibition to Showcase Circular Economy Innovations at Dubai Design Week
Dubai Design District (d3) is set to unveil Design Next, a pioneering exhibition dedicated to promoting the circular economy, as part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations of Dubai Design Week.
Launching tomorrow and running until November 10, 2024, the event will take place in Building 6 at d3, featuring over 40 local, regional, and international designers who will present innovative and eco-conscious products.
Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3, expressed excitement about the exhibition, stating,
“Design Next offers a glimpse of how brands leverage circular design to deliver functional products.”
The exhibition aims to inspire visitors and businesses to engage with sustainable practices, aligning with Dubai’s Economic Agenda ‘D33’ ambitions.
Among the exhibitors are UAE-based talents like Generation 3D and Sulmi, alongside international innovators such as iGreen from Italy, offering compostable smartphone covers, and Aga Blonska from the Netherlands, showcasing emotional reaction-based acoustic panels.
The exhibition will also feature engaging panel discussions from industry leaders, including Fahad Ahmed Al Obaidly and Samer Yamani, beginning November 6. These talks will cover various topics, from sustainable design to Dubai’s role as a creative hub.
Design Next marks the inaugural collaboration between d3 and Isola Design Group, aiming to foster a thriving design ecosystem in the region. With 18 countries represented, this exhibition promises to be a significant step towards advancing sustainable design practices and showcasing the talent that shapes our future.
