DEWA honours 41 suppliers & members of Dubai SME for their commitment to high quality

DEWA, in a virtual ceremony, has recognized 41 of its suppliers for their commitment to its highest standards.

The suppliers were honoured in the Strategic, Principal, and Main supplier categories, along with suppliers who are members of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises (Dubai SME), and suppliers who met DEWA’s requirements for including and empowering People of Determination.

In his speech, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, said that DEWA actively recognizes its partner suppliers, and their efforts to comply with the terms of supply and providing products and services in accordance with the best global specifications and quality standards set by DEWA. Their efforts play a pivotal role in many of DEWA's successes and achievements, securing its place among leading utilities around the world.

Dr Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA, noted that DEWA is committed to enhancing communications with its suppliers, and recognise the outstanding ones in recognition to their adherence to DEWA’s standards and specifications. As per the comprehensive annual evaluation conducted by DEWA, criteria include compliance with specifications, and adherence to time and quantity.

The suppliers were grateful to DEWA for their awards. They said that DEWA provides many opportunities to suppliers according to the highest standards of integrity and transparency and it regularly communicates with them to check on their needs and fulfil their requirements. They also praised DEWA for providing all its services on smart and digital channels, which saves them time and effort, he concluded.
