DGHR Completes 94% of 'Dubai Government Jobs Engineering' Project
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has achieved a significant milestone with the completion of 94 per cent of its ‘Dubai Government Jobs Engineering’ Project", which aims to support and strengthen human resource departments within government entities.
The project exemplifies DGHR’s steadfast commitment to advancing the infrastructure of human resources practices across public entities to increase their readiness and ability to adapt to future job and skill requirements.
The successful completion of the project reflects the Department's unwavering dedication and commitment to engaging government entities, ensuring their workforce needs are met both now and in the future. Through inclusive discussions and a comprehensive approach, the project aims to enhance government entities' capabilities to adapt to future shifts in the labor market. By aligning human resources effectively and developing talent with necessary skills, the project will boost the efficiency and performance of government entities, ultimately facilitating the achievement of institutional objectives amidst evolving landscapes.
His Excellency Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al-Falasi, Director General of DGHR, underscores the department's commitment to enhancing government performance and productivity in line with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision. The 'Dubai Government Jobs Engineering' project aims to empower the government workforce, foster creativity and innovation, and develop Emirati cadres for future careers, ultimately enhancing Dubai's competitiveness and leadership.
Iman Saleh Bin Khatam, Director of Policy and Programme Support at DGHR, highlights the project's progress as a testament to the department's innovative approach and investment in the Emirati workforce for sustainable development. DGHR aims to create dynamic work environments that promote employee happiness and career advancement, ensuring improved government operations, continuous development, and enhanced competitiveness.
The key completion phases of the project included - the creation of cognitive frameworks, defining job roles and future skills, developing technical, behavioural, and leadership capability matrices for Dubai Government jobs, establishing a mechanism for predicting future jobs based on strategic directions and benchmarking, as well as developing unified and comprehensive job cards for government jobs. The ‘Dubai Government Jobs Engineering’ project is in line with the DGHR’s strategic plan 2023-2026.
