du Partners with Core42 to Enhance Fire Safety Infrastructure in the UAE

In a significant move to bolster fire safety measures nationwide, du has announced a partnership with Core42, a G42 company specializing in sovereign cloud, AI infrastructure, and digital services.

The collaboration aims to upgrade the Hassantuk system by integrating 21 advanced technology features, unveiled at GITEX 2024 under the theme “Global collaboration to forge the future AI economy.”

The enhanced Hassantuk system will incorporate 13 innovative hardware features, including interactive touchscreens, sensors, and AI-powered cameras, alongside eight sophisticated application functionalities. This initiative highlights the UAE’s commitment to smart city technologies and public safety advancements.

Jasim Al Awadi, Chief ICT Officer at du, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating,

“We are at the brink of a technological revolution in the way fire safety measures are implemented in the UAE. Our partnership with Hassantuk represents a pivotal step forward in creating a safer, smarter society.”

Yousef Al Harmoodi, Chief Business Development Officer at Core42, echoed this sentiment, noting that the integration of du’s technology into Hassantuk’s framework will significantly enhance public safety across the UAE.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to driving the UAE’s digital ambitions and ensuring that the nation remains at the forefront of smart city innovation,”

he added.

The partnership aims to deliver innovative solutions in fire safety, including advanced device management, dynamic evacuation planning, and contactless registration, facilitating faster emergency responses. Future technologies will also be explored to automate response protocols and predict potential fire risks, ensuring a safer, more resilient future for all residents. Enhanced user engagement through an improved mobile application interface will further raise public awareness and participation in fire safety practices.
