Dubai Civil Aviation Authority Reports Significant Growth in Drone Ecosystem
In a bid to bolster the aviation sector and encourage technological innovation, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has announced impressive advancements in the city's drone ecosystem for the 2023-2024 period.
Notably, the number of registered drone pilots surged by 76%, while registered drone firms increased by 53%. Additionally, monthly drone operations experienced a remarkable rise of 75%.
This growth highlights the vital role technology plays in enhancing air transport and logistics services, reinforcing confidence in Dubai's robust regulatory framework and state-of-the-art infrastructure. It has also attracted greater interest from investors and commercial entities in the expanding drone sector, which is making significant strides across various industries.
His Excellency Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the DCAA, remarked,
"This remarkable growth underscores the efforts made to develop the drone ecosystem in Dubai and demonstrates our commitment to driving innovation that propels the future of air transport.
