Dubai Culture and Arts Authority Partners with MBRSC to Promote Cultural and Scientific Synergy
In a significant move to enhance communication and collaboration, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).
The agreement, formalized at the Etihad Museum, aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices and support educational and cultural initiatives in creative, scientific, and technological fields.
The signing ceremony featured prominent figures, including Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture, and Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director-General of MBRSC. Other attendees included Muna Faisal Al Gurg, CEO of the Culture & Heritage Sector, and Hazzaa AlMansoori, the UAE’s first astronaut.
This partnership is poised to foster collaboration among local artists and creatives, as well as enhance Dubai Culture’s engagement with stakeholders in both the public and private sectors. The MoU outlines plans for joint events, exhibitions, and discussions that integrate art with science, encouraging innovative expressions and ideas.
Hala Badri expressed pride in the collaboration, noting its alignment with the UAE’s vision for space exploration and cultural development. She stated,
“This partnership enriches the local creative scene and promotes knowledge exchange, enhancing the expertise of talents in science and culture.”
Salem Humaid AlMarri echoed her sentiments, highlighting the importance of blending art and science. He emphasized the initiative’s potential to inspire young people and enhance scientific understanding, paving the way for future generations in both fields.
