Dubai Culture Unveils Enriching Summer Camps Across Iconic Locations
Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has announced an expansive lineup of summer camps set to captivate young minds throughout July and August.
Aimed at nurturing creativity and cultural understanding, these camps will be hosted across prominent cultural landmarks including Al Shindagha Museum, Etihad Museum, Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, and several Dubai Public Libraries.
At Al Shindagha Museum, participants will delve into Emirati heritage through interactive sessions exploring traditional architecture and maritime history. Activities include learning the art of pearl diving, traditional water transportation methods, and historical trade simulations.
Meanwhile, Etihad Museum's program promises an immersive journey through UAE history from 1968 to present day. Youngsters will engage in activities themed around national achievements and the UAE's union, offering insights into the country's cultural evolution.
At Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, interactive workshops will focus on traditional building techniques, climate resilience, and local customs, providing hands-on experiences that enrich understanding of Dubai’s heritage.
Additionally, Dubai Public Library Summer Camps at various locations will foster innovation through workshops on smart farming, sustainable urban planning, and entrepreneurial skills. Participants will engage in creative projects and exhibitions under the guidance of renowned artists and educators.
The camps, conducted in Arabic and English, aim to create a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 4 to 14, supervised by a team of specialists. Culminating events like the Art Projects Expo and Second-Hand Book Fair will showcase participants' achievements and promote cultural engagement and literacy.
Dubai Culture's initiative underscores its commitment to shaping a sustainable creative ecosystem and inspiring future generations through immersive cultural experiences.
