Dubai Hosts ‘Dubai Rising: Building Tomorrow’s Global Business Capital’ Conference at Museum of the Future

Dubai Media Council, in partnership with Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, recently hosted the prestigious ‘Dubai Rising: Building Tomorrow’s Global Business Capital’ conference at the Museum of the Future.

This exclusive, closed-door event brought together prominent policymakers, business leaders, media professionals, and scholars from the UAE, the United States, and beyond, to explore Dubai’s vision for sustainable economic growth and global commerce.

The conference, featuring 19 high-level speakers, delved into policies, investments, and technological advancements central to Dubai’s ongoing economic transformation. It aligned with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision and supports Dubai’s ‘D33’ economic agenda, aimed at doubling the emirate's GDP by 2033.

Keynote speaker Mohammad Ali bin Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized D33’s focus on attracting investment, embracing digital transformation, and nurturing talent. Panel discussions explored various critical topics, from designing the physical, digital, and social infrastructure of tomorrow to the challenges and opportunities for the UAE in the global business landscape.

Dubai’s leadership in AI and technology was highlighted by industry experts such as Dr. Marwan Al Zarouni, CEO of AI for Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism. Meanwhile, discussions on infrastructure financing, AI’s role in business, and the global positioning of Dubai underscored the city’s pivotal role in shaping the future of global commerce.

Nehal Badri, Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council, emphasized the event's success in fostering global collaboration, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading international hub for business, creativity, and technology. The conference laid the foundation for future partnerships, driving Dubai’s ambition to become the global business capital of tomorrow.
