Dubai Hosts MRO Middle East and AIME 2025
H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Emirates Airline & Group, inaugurated MRO Middle East and Aircraft Interiors Middle East (AIME) 2025, the region’s largest aviation maintenance and interiors event.
The two-day event gathers global aviation leaders, focusing on aircraft modernisation and MRO services amid increasing passenger demand. With over 250 international exhibitors, the event fosters collaboration and innovation in the aviation sector.
Significant industry announcements were made on the first day. GE Aerospace committed a US$10 million investment in its Middle East MRO facilities, while FL Technics revealed plans for a new Line Maintenance Station at Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport. Airbus introduced its Middle East Services Forecast 2024-2043, highlighting a projected global services demand of US$32 billion by 2043, with the Middle East poised for significant growth.
The Go Live! Theater hosted key discussions, including a fireside chat with Steven Greenway, CEO of flyadeal, who emphasized Saudi Arabia’s aviation growth, the role of AI in operational efficiency, and supply chain strategies. A panel on MRO capacity challenges featured top executives from Lufthansa Technik Middle East, flyadeal, Joramco, IPINT, and Etihad Engineering, who discussed optimizing repair times and expanding MRO capabilities.
Etihad Engineering CEO Daniel Hoffmann highlighted the Middle East’s strategic role in global MRO, citing major regional investments and expansion projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
MRO Middle East and AIME 2025 underscore Dubai’s position as a hub for aviation innovation, setting the stage for transformative advancements in aircraft maintenance and interiors.
