Dubai International Project Management Forum 2025 Highlights Digital Transformation Milestones

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) received high praise for its efforts in digitizing services, making them accessible to all members of society.

Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, lauded these achievements during a panel discussion at the 10th Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) 2025.

The panel, moderated by Laura Buckwell, featured industry leaders, including Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr, a strategic leader in smart city initiatives, and Dr. Stephanie Hare, a UK-based technologist and researcher. Al Marri began the discussion by reflecting on the UAE's digital transformation journey, initiated in the 1990s by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. He credited Sheikh Mohammed's visionary leadership for the nation's progress from e-government to the current advanced digital governance framework.

“Digital transformation delivers critical insights to investors and entrepreneurs in the UAE,”

noted Al Marri. He emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving global service standards and increasing the digital economy's contribution to the UAE’s GDP.

Dr. Bin Bishr commended the RTA for its pivotal role in hosting the forum and driving digital advancements across sectors. She highlighted the importance of collaboration and flexibility in fostering innovation.

Dr. Hare stressed the need for an Artificial Intelligence Action Plan, asserting that investments in AI should be prioritized alongside traditional urban infrastructure to ensure sustainable digital progress.

The forum underscored Dubai’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation for economic growth and societal benefit.
