Dubai Land Department Launches Second Phase of Real Estate Brokers Programme to Empower Emirati Talent

In alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) has launched the second phase of the Dubai Real Estate Brokers Programme.

The initiative aims to empower UAE nationals by opening registration for the first 1,000 new participants, continuing efforts to enhance Emirati talent in the real estate sector.

The announcement was made during a ceremony attended by key figures, including His Excellency Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, DLD Director General, and His Excellency Mohamed Ali Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar. The programme aligns with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, which seeks to triple Emirati participation in the private sector and integrate 65,000 nationals into the workforce.

Eng. Marwan highlighted the programme’s achievements, noting that over 500 participants obtained broker cards in the first phase, facilitating AED 200 million in transactions. The expanded phase has introduced 21 new strategic partners, bringing the total to 50, including prominent real estate developers.

Alabbar commended the initiative, emphasizing the importance of national talent in Dubai’s dynamic real estate sector. He noted the record sale of 120,000 residential units in 2023, surpassing Singapore's 20,000, underscoring the strength of Dubai's economy.

The programme aims to raise the percentage of Emirati brokers from 5% to 15% within three years through various initiatives, including training and competitive commissions. This launch solidifies Dubai’s commitment to sustainable growth, ensuring Emirati professionals play a pivotal role in the emirate’s real estate landscape.
