Dubai Launches ‘Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ to Tackle Global Challenges
H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, officially launched the ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative, showcasing Dubai’s dedication to fostering innovation for global benefit.
Approved by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the initiative, held in collaboration with the Dubai Future Foundation, aims to address critical global challenges through innovative solutions developed by university students and academics worldwide.
The event, part of the 2024 Dubai Future Forum at the Museum of the Future, gathers over 2,500 experts and representatives from 100 global institutions. It features 100 groundbreaking projects tackling pressing issues in healthcare, energy, society, and technology. This year’s programme received 2,700 applications from more than 800 universities globally.
H.H. Sheikha Latifa emphasized the decade-long impact of the initiative, celebrating its expansion and highlighting its role in nurturing innovation, accelerating transformative technologies, and empowering entrepreneurship. She said,
“This initiative reflects our dedication to shaping the future, providing a global platform for creators to drive meaningful change while supporting comprehensive and sustainable development.”
Top innovators will be honoured with awards worth AED 360,000 to advance their research. The exhibition showcases transformative projects and hosts discussions with government officials, investors, and entrepreneurs to turn concepts into impactful ventures.
Taddeu Baldani Caravieri, Director of the initiative, lauded its evolution, stating,
“We are delighted to see so many innovators thrive in Dubai, supported by a strong network of partners.”
The initiative cements Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation and transformative ideas.
