Dubai Logistics Academy Officially Opens with Strategic Partners Honoured
The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) and the Free Zone recently celebrated the official opening of the Dubai Logistics Academy, a cutting-edge educational institution aimed at enhancing professional expertise in Dubai's logistics sector.
The event, which included an award ceremony, recognized key strategic partners such as logistics companies and Dubai University for their support in the academy's development.
Attendees included Sultan bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World and PCFC, Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of PCFC, Dr. Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs, and Abdullah bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of the Dubai Government Human Resources Department.
Bin Sulayem highlighted the logistics sector's pivotal role in economic growth, emphasizing the academy’s importance in training professionals for the ports, logistics, and commercial services industries. This initiative will strengthen global trade and enhance Dubai's position as a critical link between global economies.
Al Neyadi explained that the academy aligns with Dubai's ongoing government transformation, particularly in adapting to the digital era and incorporating artificial intelligence into government services. The academy will equip professionals with the skills necessary to meet the demands of evolving global trade and logistics.
Dr. Busenad noted the academy's focus on fostering talent through innovative academic and professional programs, offering accredited scholarships as part of Dubai’s "33 Path" initiative. This vision aligns with Dubai's Economic Agenda, aiming to cultivate a knowledge-based economy.
Al Falasi commended Dubai Customs for its efforts, underscoring the academy’s role in supporting Emiratisation by training local talent. The event concluded with honours presented to strategic partners for their contributions to the academy’s success, further solidifying Dubai’s reputation as a global logistics hub.
