Dubai Media Council Launches Second Edition of 'Mohammed Bin Rashid Scholarship for Emirati Media Students'
Under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Media Council announced the opening of registration for the second edition of the ‘Mohammed Bin Rashid Scholarship for Emirati Media Students.’
This initiative, aligned with the Council's objectives to support young Emirati media talent, aims to enhance their impact on the media sector's development, reflecting the leadership’s commitment to nurturing national talent across vital sectors.
The scholarship offers aspiring Emirati media professionals the opportunity to secure full scholarships for enrolment at the Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication at the American University in Dubai. This will enable them to pursue promising career opportunities upon completing their studies.
Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, emphasized the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in fostering a new generation of highly qualified Emirati media professionals. She highlighted the Council's commitment to expanding the pool of skilled national media professionals, driving sector development, and supporting economic growth through innovation and academic excellence.
Nehal Badri, Secretary General of the Dubai Media Council, noted that the launch of the second edition of the scholarship is part of a series of initiatives aimed at accelerating the media sector’s growth. The scholarship programme, launched in June 2023, seeks to identify and empower promising young media talent, contributing to the Council’s integrated strategy for developing the sector and enhancing industry standards.
