Dubai Metro Music Festival Set to Transform Stations into Music Hubs from September 21
Dubai is gearing up for the highly anticipated fourth edition of the Dubai Metro Music Festival, set to take place from September 21 to 27, 2024.
Organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), in collaboration with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the festival promises a vibrant week of live music across five major metro stations.
The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, BurJuman, Union, and DMCC stations will transform into musical hubs, offering daily performances by 20 talented musicians from the UAE and around the world. Commuters will be treated to diverse musical styles, instruments, and performances, enriching their daily journeys with captivating melodies.
RTA's Director of Marketing, Rashed Al Mulla, expressed pride in partnering for the festival, which coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro.
“This initiative reflects RTA’s commitment to enhancing the happiness and positivity of residents and visitors,” he noted.
Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, highlighted the festival’s contribution to the city's cultural scene, saying,
"By turning everyday commutes into vibrant showcases of artistic talent, we celebrate Dubai’s dynamic creative scene."
The festival will feature a unique blend of traditional and avant-garde performances, including a nine-year-old Qanun prodigy, a 14-year-old autistic pianist, and musicians playing recycled instruments. Attendees can enjoy these performances daily from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, rotating across the five metro stations.
