Dubai Municipality Launches Talent 71 Programme to Boost Emirati Workforce

Dubai Municipality has unveiled its Talent 71 programme at the 2024 Ru’ya UAE Careers event, aiming to enhance national competencies and attract Emirati graduates.

The initiative is designed to equip participants with advanced skills and knowledge, ensuring they are prepared for Dubai Municipality’s dynamic work environment.

Built on a strategic approach, Talent 71 offers five training streams: engineering, public utilities, digital and artificial intelligence, health and safety, and waste management and sanitation. Each stream addresses the rapid developments within Dubai Municipality and aims to improve operational efficiency while benefiting Dubai’s society and environment.

Wesam Lootah, CEO of Corporate Support Services Sector at Dubai Municipality, emphasized the importance of developing Emirati talent.

"Talent 71 reflects our commitment to empowering Emirati youth with the skills needed to tackle future challenges,"

he said. The program is aligned with the latest trends, enhancing workforce efficiency and improving community services.

Talent 71 also provides participants with practical experience through major projects, alongside specialised courses in digitisation and AI, positioning them for successful careers in the government sector. This programme supports Dubai's vision of fostering a knowledge-based economy while creating sustainable growth opportunities for Emirati youth.
