Dubai Police's General Department of Criminal Investigation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sharjah Islamic Bank to enhance security cooperation and partnership relations.

The MoU focuses on bolstering Dubai's security framework by addressing future economically motivated crimes and promoting knowledge sharing and expertise between the two entities.

The agreement was signed by Brigadier Muhammad Aqeel Ahli, Deputy Director of Dubai Police's General Department of Criminal Investigation, and Dr. Amin Khairallah Al Ali, Chief Operating Officer of Sharjah Islamic Bank. The signing ceremony saw attendance from senior officials of both organizations.

Brigadier Ahli underscored that the MoU aligns with Dubai's goal of developing predictive models to tackle evolving crime trends, especially those linked to technology.

“With global shifts in economic, criminal, and technological landscapes, this partnership is key to proactive security planning, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a secure investment hub,”

he said.

Dr. Al Ali expressed Sharjah Islamic Bank's commitment to advancing collaboration with government bodies. He noted that the MoU reflects the bank’s dedication to delivering innovative, technology-driven financial solutions that improve service standards and security.

The MoU also includes initiatives to enhance the Anti-Economic Crime Operations Centre, overseen by Dubai Police, and improve the General Department of Criminal Investigation's operations room.
