Dubai Police Raises Awareness Against Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances
Dubai Police successfully wrapped up a three-day awareness event for the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at Dubai Mall, themed "My Family... My True Wealth."
Organized by the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, the initiative aimed to educate the community on the dangers of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
The event featured various educational activities in collaboration with key partners, including the Community Development Authority, Dubai Customs, and the Erada Centre for Treatment and Rehabilitation.
Major General Expert Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansoori emphasized the importance of community outreach, stating, "Awareness and education are essential to protect our community from drug abuse."
Major General Eid Mohammed Thani Harib, Director of the General Department of Anti-Narcotics, highlighted the family's vital role in preventing drug abuse and encouraged public engagement through confidential communication channels with the police.
Workshops and awareness lectures were provided for families, focusing on drug dangers and prevention strategies. Dubai Customs also offered sessions on the risks of using others' belongings during travel. Additionally, the Positive Spirit Council hosted side events, including art workshops and sign language lectures.
Major General Al Mansoori honored strategic partners for their contributions, underlining the collective effort to combat drug abuse and promote a healthier community.
