Dubai Shopping Festival’s closing weekend hosts sales, raffles & online dance contest
After seven weeks of great promotions and sales, Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) finished with a final weekend of celebration. The closing 72 hours, which took place from 28 to 30 January, featured a mix of memorable retail moments, a video dance competition for social media users, drone shows and much more as the clock ticked down until the end of the 26th edition of DSF.
The DSF Final Sale offered shoppers savings of up to 90 per cent available on a wide selection of products and must-have items, while footwear lovers searched for exclusive new looks, customised their own shoe styles, tuned in to talks from iconic influencers and much more at the amazing Shoetopia pop-up at The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Catwalk.
This year’s mega DSF raffles kept excitement levels high as residents and visitors tried their luck to win a W Motors Fenyr SuperSport, worth an astonishing AED6 million, an INFINITI QX60 sedan and a brand-new Nissan vehicle. The DSF Supercar Raffle, INFINITI Mega Raffle and Nissan Grand Raffle were open for entries throughout the final weekend, with draws for an INFINITI QX60 car and a Nissan, plus cash prizes, taking place on the last day of DSF. The DSF Supercar Raffle will remain open until 30 March with tickets available from www.mydsf.ae and www.idealz.com
The Dubai Shopping Malls Group’s (DSMG) Spin & Win raffle also saw shoppers win prizes ranging from AED2,000 to AED20,000 at an extra special final Spin & Win event held at some of the city’s best-loved neighbourhood malls on DSF’s last day. Meanwhile the amazing DSF Drone Light Shows wowed visitors and diners at The Beach opposite JBR, Bluewaters and the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort with breathtaking shows held twice nightly over the weekend.
The super fun #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge helped to keep everyone in the DSF groove as budding social media dance heroes tried out their very best moves to win great weekly prizes. Running until 14 February, the challenge is open to individuals, groups and companies who can record their own #YaSalamYaDubai dance video and post it online using @dsfsocial on Instagram, on TikTok using @discoverdubai, or to any other social media platform of choice using the hashtags #YaSalamYaDubai, #MyDSF and #MyDubai. The #YaSalamYaDubai dance challenge is supported by the KHDA to help encourage school children across Dubai to get active after classes are finished and participate by making their own great dance video at home.
