Dubai Taxi Company Partners with Bolt to Launch E-Hailing Platform
Dubai Taxi Company PJSC (DTC), a leader in comprehensive mobility solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Bolt, a global shared mobility platform, to introduce its e-hailing service in Dubai.
This collaboration marks Bolt's debut in the UAE and aims to enhance digital mobility for customers while expanding smart transportation services across the Emirate.
The partnership was formalized during a signing ceremony at GITEX Global, with DTC’s CEO Mansoor Alfalasi and Bolt’s Founder and CEO Markus Villig in attendance, alongside notable dignitaries including H.E. Erkki Keldo, Estonia's Minister of Economy and Industry, and H.E. Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, Chairman of Dubai Taxi.
Bolt, founded in 2013, has rapidly expanded its operations, now serving over 600 cities in 50 countries. The partnership will leverage Bolt’s innovative digital platform to tap into the AED 6 billion market opportunity within Dubai’s taxi and e-hailing sector.
Mansoor Alfalasi highlighted that this collaboration unites DTC's extensive fleet of over 6,000 taxis and limousines with Bolt's global expertise in shared mobility. He reiterated DTC’s commitment to the Roads & Transport Authority's goal of transitioning 80% of taxi trips to e-booking, enhancing the company’s role in shaping the future of urban mobility.
Markus Villig noted the potential of the partnership to alleviate traffic congestion and pollution in Dubai, stating,
“This long-term strategic partnership will create a new shared mobility platform, reducing the need for private car use and positively impacting the Emirate and its residents.”
