The announcement was made during the DSC's second Board of Directors meeting, where Sheikh Mansoor emphasized the importance of community engagement in shaping sporting initiatives.
The upcoming retreat is expected to serve as a pivotal platform for launching new initiatives focused on supporting athletes, discovering and developing talent, enhancing community participation, and promoting investment in sports. It will convene experts, officials from governing bodies, and athletes, all working together to outline the future priorities and strategies for the sector.
As part of the preparations, the DSC plans to conduct a survey to gather insights from athletes and the public on essential aspects and opportunities for future development. This feedback will inform proposals and recommendations for discussion during the retreat.

“Sports is essential for the health and vitality of our society, playing a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life in Dubai.”
He called for collaboration with local and global stakeholders to address technical, organizational, and legislative aspects of the sports sector.
The meeting also reviewed upcoming sporting events and initiatives, with Sheikh Mansoor reiterating the Council's commitment to showcasing Dubai’s organizational prowess in sports and community events. The Dubai Sports Council aims to partner with public and private sectors to further elevate the sports landscape and solidify Dubai's status on the global sports map.
