Emirates Enhances US Flights with Retrofitted Boeing 777s and Premium Economy

Emirates is set to elevate its US service with the introduction of refurbished Boeing 777 aircraft on six key routes.

Starting next month, these retrofitted planes will offer an upgraded experience across all cabins, including the debut of Emirates' latest Business Class seats and its popular Premium Economy.

The enhanced Boeing 777s will commence operations on direct flights to Chicago, Boston, Dallas Fort Worth, and Seattle. Additionally, flights connecting Miami to Bogotá and Newark to Athens will also feature the refreshed aircraft. The schedule for the new service is as follows:

  • Chicago: Starting 1 November 2024, three times weekly on EK 235 and EK 236, increasing to daily from 22 November.
  • Boston: From 10 December 2024, three times weekly on EK 237 and EK 238, escalating to daily from 18 December.
  • Dallas Fort Worth: Three times weekly on EK 221 and EK 222 from 9 January 2025, with daily flights from 15 January.
  • Seattle: Beginning 24 January 2025, daily flights on EK 229 and EK 230.
  • Newark/Athens: Daily flights starting 10 February 2025 on EK 209 and EK 210.

By February 2025, Premium Economy will be available on flights to ten of Emirates' twelve US gateways and two Latin American cities. The newly retrofitted Boeing 777s feature Emirates' latest Business Class with a 1-2-1 seat arrangement, enhanced privacy, fully reclined flat beds, and personal mini-bars, alongside refreshed interiors with modern designs and color palettes.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, highlighted the success of Premium Economy on other routes and expressed enthusiasm about extending this comfort to more cities. Emirates' rollout of refreshed aircraft aligns with its commitment to delivering premium experiences across its global network, including additional US and Latin American destinations.

Customers can book flights on Emirates’ website, app, or through travel agents. The new Boeing 777 configuration includes six or eight First Class suites, 38 or 40 Business Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 256 Economy Class seats.
