Emirates Expands Global Network, Doubling City Reach and Enhancing Connectivity
In the past year, Emirates has significantly expanded its global network, doubling the number of cities beyond its core network and unlocking travel opportunities to nearly 1,700 additional cities. This expansion has facilitated seamless connections for an average of over 61,000 passengers weekly through Emirates' partnerships.
With 31 codeshare agreements, 118 interline connections, and 13 rail and helicopter services, Emirates now collaborates with 162 partners across over 100 countries. This extensive network enhances travel options, offering seamless single-ticket itineraries, improved baggage handling, frequent flyer benefits, and exclusive lounge access.
Recent additions include codeshare partnerships with Avianca and Batik Air Malaysia, as well as interline arrangements with several airlines such as KAM Air, Sri Lankan Airlines, and Kenya Airways. Emirates has also introduced innovative partnerships with rail operators like Trenitalia and Spanish Rail Renfe, and an urban air-mobility collaboration with BLADE for helicopter flights between Nice and Monaco.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, emphasized the airline's commitment to broadening its global presence through strategic partnerships, aligning with Dubai’s D33 strategy to enhance the city’s connectivity and global appeal.
