EHS receives the Emirates Board institutional accreditation

Emirates Health Services (EHS) received the "Emirates Board" institutional accreditation certificate from the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS).

NIHS is the national institute responsible for regulating and spearheading the development of the healthcare workforce in the UAE. The official accreditation to EHS was received after fulfilling all the requirements of the Emirati Board.

Dr. Mohammed Al Houqani, Secretary-General of NIHS, presented a workshop on the Emirati Board programme and its standards to the EHS programme directors and training professionals to prepare and develop highly-qualified health professionals capable of supporting the health system and promoting health and quality of life in the country.

Dr. Youssef Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of EHS, expressed his delight at this new achievement, underscoring EHS's commitment to providing quality and efficient medical education programmes, aligned with the vision and strategic objectives outlined by providing the healthcare sector in the UAE with an elite group of qualified, highly skilled and competent doctors according to the highest international standards.

He added that the EHS is determined to move forward in the path of reaping achievements based on the competencies that it abounds in, as well as its aim of strengthening its position as one of the best global health authorities, in line with the leadership vision by implementation of the national strategy for the next fifty.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Financial Sector and Support Services at EHS, commended the achievement stating that EHS seeks to strengthen the national health system by providing the best educational practices, according to the highest standards, by providing the health workforce opportunities to receive high-level institutional accreditation.

Dr. Kalthoom Al Blooshi, Chief Innovation Officer, Director of the Training and Development Centre at EHS, expressed her pleasure at receiving the Emirates Board accreditation. She praised the efforts of the administrative staff and highlighted that this achievement enhances the status of the EHS and raises the pace and efficiency of work, adding that this achievement leads to more effort by the EHS team to maintain their gains and achieve more in the future, in line with the strategy and plans towards providing a health system that applies best international practices.
