Emirates Opens First Travel Store in Hong Kong, Expanding Far East Presence
Emirates has officially inaugurated its first Travel Store in Hong Kong, marking a significant milestone in its expansion efforts within the region.
Located in the Nexxus Building, this store is part of a phased rollout across the Far East and the airline’s global network.
The opening ceremony was led by Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, Far East, alongside dignitaries including Shaikh Saoud Al Mualla, UAE Consul General, and Sultan Alriyami, Emirates Area Manager for Hong Kong. The event was attended by various distinguished guests, trade partners, and media representatives.
“This travel store embodies our commitment to providing an exceptional service experience,”
said Abbas.
“By launching in Central Hong Kong, we aim to elevate the travel retail experience while ensuring our renowned Emirates hospitality is accessible at every stage of the customer journey.”
Spanning 1,500 square feet, the Emirates Travel Store features a modern, lounge-like atmosphere with four dedicated customer service counters offering flight reservations, ticketing, and personalized assistance. Advanced technology, including smart self-service screens and interactive displays, enhances customer engagement while minimizing wait times.
Notably, the store showcases a limited-time Premium Economy Class seat display, allowing customers to preview the comfort of this popular cabin class. Additionally, visitors can explore a curated selection of Emirates merchandise and travel accessories.
Emirates operates 21 weekly flights between Hong Kong and Dubai and recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to boost inbound tourism. The airline also revitalized its Emirates Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport and extended its complimentary Chauffeur-drive service to Business Class passengers, further enhancing travel experiences in the city.
