FAHR Accelerates Progress Toward Zero Bureaucracy in Federal HR Systems
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has made significant strides in eliminating bureaucracy across federal human resources services and systems, aligning with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy (ZGB) programme.
This initiative, designed to streamline government procedures, reflects the UAE’s ambition to enhance global competitiveness and align with its Centennial 2071 goals.
Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, FAHR’s Director General, emphasized the Authority’s commitment to developing a seamless, efficient, and forward-thinking HR system. Under the campaign "Together to Zero Bureaucracy in the HR System," FAHR conducted workshops and seminars to identify and refine procedures. Efforts included integrating digital HR systems, redesigning internal operations, and launching enhanced digital experiences like the upgraded "Bayanati" system and FAHR’s smart application.
The "Bayanati" system update has slashed HR procedure completion time by 56% and reduced steps by 67%, significantly enriching the digital experience for over 38 core services. Similarly, FAHR’s integration with entities like the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and the Ministry of Health has streamlined customer services through initiatives like "Usrati" and "Ajr Wa Aafya."
Through these measures, FAHR has cut request processing time for core services by 49% and reduced documentation by 67%. Moreover, ministerial decisions can now be approved in just seven seconds via a simplified digital process.
FAHR's efforts exemplify the ZGB programme's mission to simplify 2,000 government procedures and halve processing times by the end of 2024, underscoring the UAE's drive toward a bureaucracy-free future.
