The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) is set to participate in the 44th GITEX Global 2024, taking place from October 14-18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
This year’s event boasts over 6,500 exhibitors and 1,800 speakers from 180 countries, making it a global hub for technological innovation.
The FTA aims to highlight its latest initiatives in digital transformation, aligning the UAE tax system with the government's digital strategy. This initiative seeks to create smart systems that provide seamless and proactive digital services, reducing bureaucracy and enhancing transaction efficiency for clients.
Khalid Ali Al Bustani, Director-General of the FTA, emphasized the significance of GITEX as a platform to explore advanced taxation technologies.
"Our participation aligns with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, aiming to cut government service time by 50 percent,”
he stated. The FTA's efforts reflect the UAE leadership's vision to enhance global competitiveness.
Visitors to the FTA’s exhibition can expect a showcase of innovative services, including the newly launched Maskan smart application, which enables a fully digital process for citizens to recover Value Added Tax (VAT) on new home constructions. The FTA will also introduce service improvement projects and provide updates on the EmaraTax app, aimed at streamlining tax services.
In addition, the FTA will demonstrate the AI-powered “My Procedures” Nintex system, which enhances service management and planning. Feedback from visitors will be collected to further refine FTA services, reinforcing its commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
As the FTA prepares for GITEX Global 2024, it remains dedicated to modernizing tax services and supporting the UAE’s broader digital ambitions.
