FTA Sees Growth in Corporate Tax Awareness Events in 2024

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has reported a significant increase in the participation of its corporate tax awareness initiatives in 2024, with 15,713 participants benefiting from various in-person and virtual events.

This marks an 8.7 percent rise from 2023, when 14,455 people attended such events.

In response to the growing number of corporate tax registrants, the FTA introduced a series of specialized awareness programmes to educate businesses about the UAE’s Corporate Tax Law, which became effective in 2023. These programmes aim to ensure businesses understand their obligations under the law and encourage voluntary compliance.

In 2024, the number of FTA-sponsored corporate tax events surged by 42.9 percent, reaching a total of 70 events compared to 49 in the previous year. This expansion reflects the Authority’s commitment to addressing the increasing demand for knowledge among businesses.

The FTA’s efforts also resulted in a notable rise in participant satisfaction. According to the latest figures, 96 percent of attendees expressed approval of the events' content and informative nature, up from 94 percent in 2023.

The Authority's initiatives underscore its ongoing commitment to fostering a transparent and compliant tax environment as part of the UAE’s broader economic strategy.
