Future Blockchain Summit 2024 Kicks Off at Dubai Harbour
The Future Blockchain Summit 2024 has officially commenced at Dubai Harbour, attracting participants from around the globe within the blockchain and cryptocurrency community.
This significant event brings together industry leaders, innovators, and enthusiasts to explore the latest advancements and opportunities within the blockchain ecosystem.
The summit features an action-packed agenda, with the Future Blockchain Stage showcasing a series of sessions under the theme ‘Investments in Blockchain & Gaming.’
Dr. Marwan AlZarouni, CEO of AI at the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, highlighted Dubai’s leadership in AI and blockchain innovation. He emphasized the city’s commitment to fostering groundbreaking ideas:
“Dubai welcomes you to explore the potential of your AI and blockchain projects… If it can’t be done anywhere else in the world, it can be done here.”
In another insightful session, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman & CEO of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), discussed the transformative potential of AI, crypto, and gaming in trade. He noted that, “from 2026 you won't recognize your life,” predicting rapid advancements in technology.
A panel discussion featuring industry experts focused on the accelerated institutional adoption of blockchain technology. Mansoor Madhavji, Partner at Blockchain Founders Fund, highlighted the UAE’s emergence as a global blockchain hub, attributing it to government initiatives that attract top-tier founders.
Mike Williams, Chief Communication Officer at Toobit, shared insights on investment opportunities in blockchain, particularly the tokenization of real-world assets. He stated,
“Today, crypto is not just an asset class, it is a growing community,”
as regions like Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa emerge as key players.
The summit also spotlighted Web3 gaming, showcasing innovative projects such as Blowfish Studios’ AAA open-world space adventure, illustrating the future of blockchain gaming. As part of Expand North Star, powered by GITEX GLOBAL, the summit continues to shape the future of blockchain with over 1,200 investors, 120 exhibitors, and 150 speakers from more than 50 countries.
