GITEX GLOBAL 2024 wrapped up on Friday, highlighting the pivotal role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping industries and driving global economic growth.
This year’s event drew a record 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from over 180 countries, alongside 200,000 visitors, solidifying Dubai’s status as a premier global technology hub.
Under the theme “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy,” the 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL set new benchmarks for innovation and business opportunities. The event facilitated numerous Memorandum of Understanding agreements aimed at accelerating the global AI market, projected to reach USD $1,339.1 billion by 2030.
With more than 40 percent of attendees representing new nations, including South Africa and Vietnam, GITEX GLOBAL fostered cross-regional partnerships among leading and emerging tech countries. Each day focused on key themes, such as investment, cybersecurity, and futuristic technologies, reflecting the pillars of the digital economy.
Industry giants like Oracle, Dell Technologies, and Microsoft showcased their latest innovations, driving partnerships and technological advancements. The event featured the inaugural World Future Economy Digital Leaders Summit, emphasizing discussions on AI regulation, economic strategies, and digital finance.
Cybersecurity emerged as a vital topic, addressing the need for secure digital infrastructure amidst evolving threats. Future mobility showcased innovations such as autonomous vehicles and eVTOL aircraft, while GITEX DIGI_HEALTH 5.0 highlighted AI’s role in revolutionizing patient care.
