L'ÉCOLE Middle East Opens First Permanent Campus in Dubai
H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the first permanent campus of ‘L’ÉCOLE Middle East’ in Dubai, in partnership with Dubai Design District (d3).
The school, a hub for jewelry arts, aims to expand its global reach and engage diverse audiences. She emphasized Dubai's emergence as a hub for creativity and innovation, underscoring the city's commitment to fostering artistic endeavors.
L'ÉCOLE serves as an educational platform, promoting jewelry culture, enhancing artisan skills, and contributing to a knowledge-driven economy. The event was attended by officials from Dubai Culture, Dubai Design District, and representatives from Van Cleef & Arpels and L'ÉCOLE.
L'ÉCOLE Middle East has launched with 13 public courses and the inaugural exhibition 'Gold and Treasures: 3000 Years of Chinese Ornaments,' showcasing 100 masterpieces from the Mengdiexuan Collection, alongside items from the L'ÉCOLE collection. Courses delve into jewelry design's art, history, and techniques, taught by industry experts.
Proceeds from courses will support Dubai Cares, aiding education in developing countries. Situated in Dubai Design District, the campus embodies L'ÉCOLE's values of craftsmanship and creativity. Its curriculum focuses on Art History of Jewelry, The World of Gemstones, and Savoir-Faire, providing a holistic learning experience.
