Latifa bint Mohammed Unveils "Creative Dubai" Report Highlighting City's Leadership in Creative Economy

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture, has unveiled the "Creative Dubai: Navigating Tomorrow’s Creative Landscape" report. Developed with DinarStandard, the report showcases Dubai’s cultural and creative achievements and highlights investment opportunities in the sector, aligning with the Dubai Creative Economy Strategy.

Key findings include Dubai's cultural industries contributing AED 21.96 billion to its GDP in 2022 and employing over 175,000 people. In 2023, Dubai attracted AED 11.8 billion in foreign direct investment, hosting 40% of MENA’s creative startups with over $1 million in funding.

The report emphasizes trends like integrating AI, AR, and blockchain into the creative sector, sustaining Dubai’s innovation-driven growth. It also proposes hybrid business models, affordable technological solutions for SMEs, and strengthening links between education and industry to nurture talent.

The findings reflect Dubai’s global leadership, evident in its upcoming hosting of the World Cities Culture Summit 2024 and ICOM General Conference 2025. Dubai Culture aims to position the emirate as a hub for cultural tourism, sustainability, and innovation.
