Dubai Wraps Up Medical Conferences Focused on Combatting Genetic Diseases
Four conferences on genetic sciences, including the historic 26th International Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine Conference, concluded in Dubai.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Chairman of the UAE Genetic Diseases Association (UAEGDA), they attracted global scientists. Hessa Buhumaid visited the closing, highlighting the significance of the event.
Hessa Buhumaid highlighted the UAE's role in leading global scientific events and Dubai's exceptional logistical capabilities in simultaneously organizing four international medical conferences. She emphasised the importance of investing in health research and studies and encouraging youth innovation and scientific research to achieve sustainable health and improve the quality of life – a priority in the UAE government's strategy.
Dr. Maryam Matar expressed gratitude to Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for his continuous support of the association's initiatives. She noted that the conferences recommended forming alliances in specific research areas, developing sustainable research cooperation, and providing more opportunities and support for young researchers, as well as biochemists and regenerative medicine scientists.
