Ministry of Defence and EDCC Forge Strategic Media Partnership for Global Showcase
The Ministry of Defence has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirates Defence Companies Council (EDCC).
Under this agreement, Al Jundi Journal, issued by the Ministry of Defence, will provide media coverage for the Council during defence and security exhibitions within the UAE and internationally.
Staff Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Mheiri, Director of the Office of H.H. the Minister of Defence and General Supervisor of Al Jundi Journal, stated that this MoU establishes a new phase of sustainable strategic cooperation with the EDCC. He also emphasised the mutual benefits for both parties in light of the rapidly expanding UAE defence industry, which serves the nation's interests, and its thriving industrial sectors, which have become a global benchmark.
For her part, Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the EDCC, emphasised the commitment to accurately conveying the developments and achievements in the UAE's defence industry.
The MoU would facilitate the production of specialised media content for defence exhibitions, offering comprehensive and distinguished coverage of the pioneering projects undertaken by the Council's member companies.
Al Jundi Journal is one of the leading media outlets specialising in defence affairs, and this collaboration will provide greater opportunities to highlight the efforts of national companies in developing specialised defence and technology capabilities.
Furthermore, Al Jaber underscored the partnership's importance in supporting the UAE Vision 2071, which aims to position the UAE among the best countries in the world in innovation, technology, and defence.
The EDCC was established in 2014 as the national representative of the UAE defence companies, fostering effective communication between decision-makers and national defence companies to best serve the country's interests.
