MoHAP Achieves Global Recognition for Innovation Excellence
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has achieved a significant milestone by receiving the highest certification from the Global Innovation Institute (GInI): the Certified Innovative Government Organisation—Excellence Level. This recognition solidifies MoHAP’s position as a leader in innovation within the UAE.
Additionally, MoHAP has become the first federal entity to receive accreditation for an Accelerator Programme from GInI. It has also secured the ISO 56002 certification in innovation management, reflecting its commitment to enhancing innovation processes and competitiveness. These achievements align with MoHAP’s strategy to foster a robust innovation culture, aiming to boost the Ministry’s reputation and drive sustainable growth in healthcare services.
Salem Al Darmaki, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Prevention, received the two certifications during a ceremony in Dubai, presented by Mohannad Shaheen, Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa at GInI. The event was attended by key MoHAP officials, including Saqr Al Humairi, Chief Innovation Officer.
Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Under-Secretary of MoHAP, emphasized that these achievements were made possible by the UAE government's commitment to innovation. He stated,
“The Ministry prioritizes innovation and is investing in the future of healthcare through an integrated innovation ecosystem.”
Saqr Al Humairi remarked that these certifications enhance MoHAP’s reputation and inspire ongoing excellence in the health sector. Mohammed Ahmed Dabwan from GInI acknowledged MoHAP's outstanding progress, positioning it among leading organizations dedicated to sustainable development in healthcare.
Through these accolades, MoHAP continues to elevate the UAE's status as a premier global destination for innovation in health services.
