MoIAT Launches Transform 4.0 Initiative to Spearhead Industry 4.0 Adoption

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology launched Transform 4.0, an initiative under Operation 300bn, aiming to accelerate technology adoption in UAE factories.

It targets 100 manufacturers for digitalization, fostering Industry 4.0 practices to establish global leadership in technology and sustainable manufacturing. MoU signings with EDB and du support this endeavor.

The EDB will finance manufacturers for digitalization in Transform 4.0, with du as a tech partner. ACME was the first onboarded manufacturer. Industry Apps signed an MoU with MoIAT to provide digital solutions. Other manufacturers, including Hotpack Global and Mercatus MEA, joined. Tech partners like Maxbyte, Precast, and du contributed AED10 million in services.

Commenting on Transform 4.0, Al Amiri said,

“The UAE is at the forefront of fusing the digital and physical worlds of manufacturing. Launching the ambitious Transform 4.0 will not only support manufacturers, including SMEs, to adopt state-of-the-art digital tools, but also help propel UAE industry towards heightened productivity, efficiency and competitiveness, in line with Operation 300bn. In close collaboration with our national partners, we are investing in a future where technology and industry seamlessly merge, driving decarbonisation and economic prosperity across the Emirates.”

The MIITE Forum, held from 27th-28th May, aligns with Operation 300bn, spotlighting UAE's industrial sector through initiatives like Make it in the Emirates and the National ICV Programme. It serves as a hub for investment opportunities, announcing significant initiatives and building on past successes, aiming to attract further investment.
