Museum of the Future Renews Strategic Partnership with Dubai Municipality
The Museum of the Future has announced the renewal of its strategic partnership with Dubai Municipality, aimed at further shaping a prosperous future for Dubai and enhancing its status as a global hub for innovators and futurists.
The collaboration between Museum of the Future and Dubai Municipality will build upon the outcomes of the successful partnership that was established in September 2022 focusing on the design, creation, and facilitation of emerging technologies in key sectors, such as smart cities, urban planning, sustainable construction, agricultural technology and food security.
A core element of this partnership is the museum’s ‘Tomorrow Today’ exhibition, designed and curated in partnership with Dubai Municipality, which is dedicated to exploring the contrasting ways in which technology can contribute to developing potential solutions to global, societal and environmental challenges. The ‘Tomorrow, Today’ exhibition features concepts, prototypes and next generation technology focusing on agriculture, waste management, the environment, food security, and city planning.
His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation said:
“The Museum of the Future is a partner for everyone who believes in a brighter and more positive future. It is for those who work to reimagine, design and execute a better tomorrow. Our partnership with Dubai Municipality, in a short period, has swiftly led to notable advancements in developing smart cities, urban planning and the sustainable design of cities of the future, enabling organisations to employ advanced technology and implement innovative practices for the benefit of humanity first and foremost.”
During the last 12 months, the Museum of the Future and Dubai Municipality have collaborated on several events alongside the museum’s other partners, that have inspired the creative thinkers of the future to contribute to developing new solutions for a brighter and more positive tomorrow. Most recently, Dubai Municipality and the museum collaborated to distribute 2071 Ghaf trees to visitors during the 52nd UAE National Day weekend, as part of a continued commitment to a more sustainable future. The gifting of 2071 Ghaf trees reflected the museum’s vision of transporting visitors to the UAE’s Centennial year and Dubai Municipality’s goal of ‘greening the UAE’. The event was particularly significant as it took place during the UAE’s Year of Sustainability, during which the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) was held at Dubai Expo City.
