Nearly 75% of UAE Employees Consider Job Change, Study Reveals
A new study has highlighted that nearly three-quarters of employees in the UAE are contemplating a job change within the next 12 months, driven by their growing demand for personalized benefits, especially in the realms of well-being and health.
The 2025 Employees Sentiment Study, released by global professional services firm Aon, revealed that 73% of UAE workers are either actively seeking new opportunities or might do so in the near future.
The study, which surveyed employees across multiple countries, found that a significant number of UAE workers feel undervalued, with 10% expressing dissatisfaction with their employers' commitment to skill development and future work preparedness. This signals a pressing need for companies to enhance talent strategies and improve the employee experience.
The study also underscored that employees are increasingly seeking defined career development plans and global-standard retirement savings to ensure financial security in the future. According to Aon, the UAE’s competitive talent market is fueling this demand, as both private and public sectors adopt progressive employee value propositions (EVPs).
Top employee priorities include medical coverage, work-life balance, paid time off, career development, and retirement savings. The survey noted that 83% of employees are willing to trade existing benefits for better alternatives. Additionally, 45% of workers would consider switching jobs for better pay and benefits.
The findings highlight that pay and benefits remain crucial factors in job satisfaction, with employees also valuing a fun work environment, alignment with company values, recognition, and a collaborative culture.
