PCFC Launches Seamless Inspections Initiative to Transform Customs Services

The Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has launched the Seamless Inspections initiative, aimed at transforming customs services. The programme, inaugurated at Aramex’s warehouses, significantly reduces customs processing times by more than 50%, improving supply chain efficiency and enhancing Dubai’s role as a global trade and logistics hub.

The initiative offers two options: full-site inspections, with customs officers stationed permanently at company premises, and on-demand inspections, where officers are dispatched as needed. These options cater to diverse business needs, reduce delays, and save approximately five hours per shipment, leading to better delivery schedules and cost savings.

Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem emphasized the initiative’s importance in supporting Dubai’s competitiveness and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, while Director-General Dr. Abdullah Busenad highlighted investments in officer training and collaboration with partners to enhance efficiency.

Aramex noted the initiative’s success in streamlining operations and improving customer satisfaction. Businesses are encouraged to enroll in the Seamless Inspections service to benefit from these improvements.
