RTA Achieves 16.8% Growth in Digital Revenues for 2023
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced a remarkable 16.8% growth in its digital revenues for 2023, reaching AED 3.705 billion.
The rise in revenue reflects RTA's ongoing digital transformation efforts, with the total number of digital transactions increasing by 1% to 821 million.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of RTA, highlighted the success of RTA's smart apps, which saw a 29% growth, reaching 15.299 million transactions. The real-time happiness indicator for RTA apps also improved, surpassing 95%.
The number of registered users on RTA’s digital service channels grew by 20% to 1.404 million, while RTA's apps were installed 3.056 million times from app stores in 2023. Al Tayer emphasized the launch of an upgraded Mahboob Chatbot, powered by ChatGPT technology, which enhances user experience and data security.
As part of RTA's innovation roadmap, 30 new smart kiosks were deployed across 21 locations, generating over AED 309 million in revenues. The RTA Dubai app was also updated, featuring AI-powered parking predictions and an NFC-based nol card top-up service. Additionally, the Dubai Drive app introduced a vehicle plate transfer service and UAE PASS login for seamless service access.
RTA also expanded its services through the S’hail app and the Dubai Now app, launching multiple new features and experiences to improve user convenience.
