RTA Expands Free Wi-Fi Across Public Transport Stations in Dubai

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with e& (Etisalat), has successfully introduced free Wi-Fi at 17 public bus stations and 12 marine transport stations, enhancing commuter connectivity.

According to Khaled AbdulRahman Al Awadhi, Director of Transportation Systems at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, Wi-Fi devices have been installed at 29 stations, with plans to extend coverage to all 43 RTA stations—including 21 bus stations and 22 marine transport stations—by the second quarter of 2025.

“This initiative aligns with RTA’s broader digital transformation strategy and Dubai’s vision to be the world’s smartest and happiest city,”

said Al Awadhi.

RTA and e& will continue to monitor and enhance the service to ensure seamless, high-quality connectivity across Dubai’s public transport network. By integrating digital solutions, RTA is making daily commutes more efficient and enjoyable for residents and visitors.
