RTA Announces New Metro Link Bus Routes and Service Enhancements Starting August 30th
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to introduce four new metro link bus routes and improve services on several other routes starting August 30th.
These changes are designed to enhance the daily commute for passengers, providing smoother and more efficient travel options across the Emirate.
The new routes include the replacement of Route 31 with two new routes, F39 and F40. Route F39 will operate between Etisalat Bus Station and Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1, while Route F40 will connect Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78. Both routes will run with a 30-minute frequency.
Additionally, Routes F56 will be replaced by F58 and F59. Route F58 will run from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City, while Route F59 will serve Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village, both with a 30-minute frequency.
In a bid to simplify route identification and expand coverage, Route 21 will be divided into two routes: 21A and 21B, running in opposite directions between Al Quoz Clinical Pathology Services Bus Stop 1 and Al Ghubaiba Bus Station. Moreover, Route 61D will merge with Route 66, and Route 95 will combine with Route 95A, allowing easier connectivity to Route X92.
Several other adjustments include shortening Route 6, modifying Route 95A to cover the Jebel Ali Industrial Area, and enhancing 35 existing routes to ensure timely arrivals.
These updates are part of RTA’s ongoing efforts to improve public transport services, offering passengers more convenient and efficient travel options across Dubai. Passengers are advised to review these changes and plan their journeys accordingly.
