Samsung and UAE National Programme for Coders Launch ‘Galaxy AI Pioneers’ for Youth

Samsung Gulf Electronics, in partnership with the UAE’s National Programme for Coders, has opened registration for its latest youth initiative, Galaxy AI Pioneers.

This training programme is designed to introduce UAE nationals and residents aged 12-17 to the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI), aiming to nurture the next generation of innovators.

Following the success of the Samsung Innovation Campus at the UAE AI Camp 2024, Galaxy AI Pioneers marks another step in the long-standing collaboration between Samsung and the UAE Office of AI. The programme runs from September 23 to December 15, 2024, and features a hybrid learning format with both virtual and in-person sessions at Coders HQ in Dubai.

Participants will receive instruction on AI fundamentals, Python, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, AI robotics, and ethical AI practices. A capstone project will allow students to develop their own AI solutions using Samsung’s Galaxy AI applications.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Mahmoud from the UAE Office of AI highlighted the programme's importance in preparing the youth for an AI-driven future, stating it will

“nurture technical skills and instill an understanding of AI’s ethical implications.”

Shafi Alam, Director of Samsung Gulf Electronics, emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering future technology leaders by providing hands-on AI experience.

Guest lectures from academicians and industry experts will further enhance the students' understanding of AI's real-world applications and potential career opportunities in the tech sector.
