UAE Team Emirates, newly crowned UCI World Tour Best Team for 2024, has announced that cycling superstar and reigning World Champion, Tadej Pogačar, has signed a contract extension through 2030.

Pogačar, who joined the team in 2019, has become a dominant force in the cycling world, amassing 88 victories across various formats.

Pogačar’s 2024 season was extraordinary, highlighted by victories at the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, and prestigious one-day races such as Strade Bianche and Liege-Bastogne-Liege. His triumph at the UCI World Championships in Zurich capped off a historic year, where he secured 25 wins in 58 days of racing—a feat unseen in professional cycling since 1987.

"I am extremely proud to be extending my time here at UAE Team Emirates. The team has been my home for the past five years, and I can't imagine myself anywhere else,"

Pogačar stated. He credited the team’s staff, management, and teammates for helping him reach his highest potential.

Mauro Gianetti, Team Principal and CEO, praised Pogačar’s exceptional talent and work ethic, stating,

“Tadej deserves all of his success, and I’m delighted he is staying with us for many years to come.”
