UAE Introduces New 10-Year Blue Residency Visa
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Special Envoy for Climate Change, and COP28 President, announced the launch of the 'Blue Residency Visa.'
This new ten-year visa is part of the UAE’s Year of Sustainability and will be granted to individuals who have made significant contributions to environmental protection and sustainability.
Dr. Al Jaber highlighted that the initiative builds on the momentum of COP28 and the UAE’s legacy of environmental stewardship established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The 'Blue Residency Visa' aligns with the UAE's commitment to multilateralism, international cooperation, and addressing climate change through advanced technologies like artificial intelligence.
The visa aims to attract global environmental leaders to contribute to the UAE's sustainable development, emphasizing the nation's dedication to leveraging technology to create impactful climate solutions and transform challenges into opportunities for a better future.
