UAE Introduces New Visa Rules for Pakistani Nationals
The UAE Embassy has announced updated visa regulations for Pakistani citizens, outlining new requirements, processing fees, and special provisions for minors. These updates aim to streamline the application process and enhance clarity for travelers planning to visit the UAE.
Visa Application Process and Fees
The visa processing fee is set at $69 (approximately Rs. 19,300) per person. Applications for visit, tourist, and family visas must be submitted online, while employment visas follow a separate process. After submitting the application, applicants will receive a notification regarding their appointment at the UAE embassy or visa center.
Key Visa Requirements
The UAE Embassy has outlined several essential requirements for visa approval:
- Visa Application Proof – A copy of the submitted visa application must be provided.
- Bank Statement – A six-month signed and stamped bank statement showing a minimum balance of $5,000 (approximately Rs. 1.4 million) is required.
- Accommodation Proof – Applicants must present proof of stay, such as a hotel booking, home lease agreement, or confirmation of residence with relatives or friends.
- Return Ticket – A confirmed return flight ticket is mandatory.
- Identification Documents – The original National Identity Card (NIC) or passport, valid for at least six months, must be submitted.
- Visa Fee Payment – The $69 fee must be deposited in a designated Al-Falah Bank account, and the original payment receipt must be presented at the visa center.
Visa Process for Minors
Special provisions apply for minors based on their age:
- Children under 5 years – No visit to the visa center is required. Instead, a passport-size photo with a white background must be submitted.
- Ages 6 to 15 – A separate passport photo is not needed, as the photo will be taken at the visa center.
- Ages 15 and above – The application process follows the same steps as for adults.
Biometric Verification
Applicants aged five years and older must complete biometric verification at the visa center as part of the final steps in the application process.
These updated guidelines aim to ensure a smooth and efficient visa process for Pakistani travelers visiting the UAE, reinforcing the country’s commitment to facilitating legitimate travel while maintaining stringent security measures.
